Treatments and procedures
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is the fertilization of eggs by sperm in a dish (outside the woman’s body). The embryos which result are transferred back into the woman’s body (Embryo Transfer; ET). Although it is technically possible to perform IVF without the use of fertility drugs, only one egg would be collected and the chance for pregnancy would be low.
Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
In situations where the number or quality of sperm is insufficient to allow fertilization in a dish, individual sperm may be injected into eggs by means of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The use of ICSI has expanded the application of in vitro fertilization (IVF) to include serious male subfertility, previously untreatable by other means.
Egg Donation
The donor egg program is for women who have poor egg quality, advanced maternal age (AMA), premature menopause, a genetic disorder, or absence of ovaries due to surgery, previous chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Women who are unable to produce healthy eggs are able to achieve pregnancy and experience childbirth through the egg donation. Egg donation is a process in which eggs from a young, healthy woman (the donor) are fertilized in the laboratory by sperm from the recipient’s partner or sperm donor. The resulting embryos are then transferred to the recipient’s uterus (womb).
Latest technological advances
EevaTM Test
The EevaTM Test was designed to provide your IVF team with reliable, objective information to select embryos with greater confidence as they strive to do everything possible to improve your odds of a successful pregnancy. Results of the Eeva Test have been shown in clinical studies to increase the ability of embryologists to accurately identify embryos with the highest developmental potential.
Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) and PGS
Main Line Fertility (MLF) is a world leader in screening IVF embryos for genetic abnormalities to identify embryos with the greatest potential to produce a successful pregnancy and a healthy baby. PGD identifies which embryos carry (or are affected) by a specific genetic disease. PGS can identify which embryo are chromosomally normal. Embryos with the correct number of chromosomes can be transferred to uterus (womb) or can be frozen for future use.
Mitochondrial DNA Activity of IVF/PGS Embryos
Mitochondrial activity screening provides a measurement of the normalized mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) content in embryos with the correct number of chromosomes (euploid embryos). Mitochondrial activity screening is performed using the same biopsy sample used for preimplantation genetic screening (PGS).

Main Line Fertility Center Testimonials
Testimonials
“When we first came to Dr. Glassner in 2013, we were at the end of our rope. After losing four pregnancies, we felt we would never get to be parents. But after one round of IVF with Dr. Glassner, I was pregnant and we welcomed our baby girl in May 2014. I thought we had finally figured out the magic formula and that having our second child would be a breeze. I was wrong. After a fluke, natural ectopic pregnancy in January 2015, I went through four more rounds of IVF, one frozen embryo transfer and one IUI. The first round of IVF ended in a chemical pregnancy, the next three failed, the FET failed, and the IUI resulted in yet another ectopic pregnancy. It was determined that my egg quality had rapidly declined in the two short years since I had conceived my daughter, the ectopics were unexplainable and things looked bleak. We could have quit and there were days when I seriously considered it. But we persevered. To say that Dr. Glassner was supportive would be an understatement. I really felt that his heart broke with ours with each failure. He listened to us and our frustrations, spent time after hours on the phone with us answering questions and offering support and never once let us feel that we couldnt be successful again. Before moving on to other options, we decided to give IVF one more try in July, and we were finally successful. Im currently in my second trimester and due in the spring. Some days, it doesnt feel real after everything we went through, but I am so glad we persevered and didnt give up hope. Dr. Glassner and the staff of Main Line Fertility are amazing and we honestly cannot recommend them enough.” MJR (10-17-16)
”My son would soon turn one!!! And this miracle baby of mine is only due to Dr. Michael Glassner and his wonderful team at MLF. After trying for almost 3.5 years, we finally resorted to MLF. After some check ups, we found out that I had severe endometrosis. Dr. Glassner had mentioned that IVF would be my best resort but never pushed us for that. We tried everything – 2/3 cycles of Clomid, 3 IUIs.. Finally we decided to do injectables and IVF. First two times, my body didn’t respond well to the meds. The third time, my body responded well and we could finally reach to the stage of egg retrieval. However, my body wasn’t ready for ET yet, hence doctor suggested us to do frozen transfer. After waiting for a month and half, we were all ready for FET.. We were debating between deciding the number of embryos to be transferred -1, 2 or 3.. Unable to make a decision, we decided to just go with what dr would advise. We wanted one baby, at the most two but didn’t want to risk it against having no baby. Dr suggested there were 60% chances of me getting pregnant with one baby if we transfer 2 embryos. And finally, I was pregnant with one baby. My pregnancy was easy and I have a beautiful baby. Dr. Glassner is a god to us. We have no words to thank him and his team.” 8-18-16 SK
“Thank you Main Line Fertility and Dr. Deanna Brasile for providing us an avenue to have a family. It was a long and hard process, but Dr. Brasile stuck by us and worked with us to make it happen. We are now blessed with boy/girl twins born May 2016: Caitrin Rowan and Mattocks Ryan. I am 43 years old and my eggs were not viable, we tried many different avenues of IVF and we were able to conceive with the help of donor eggs” BSM (June 10, 2016)
